Tonight was the long awaited Van Halen concert and about 2 pm today they cancelled the show. It wasn't due to the unusual March snow (picture taken tonight at 9 pm) but because Eddie can't seem to kick the habit. They have rescheduled the concert for April, so let's all keep our fingers crossed that Mr. Van Halen can clean up his act. Back to the snow - did I mention it reached 80 degrees on Saturday! You know the saying - "if you don't like the weather here in Texas, wait a second". It couldn't be more on target.
We enjoyed a wonderful visit with our good friends Sophia and Rene this weekend. They traveled from New York to Dallas for Rene's brothers wedding. They stayed with us for four nights and we had a lot of fun catching up. Saturday, Sophia's family hosted a baby shower for her at Papasitos. She recieved some awesome gifts and it made for quite a challenge to pack for the trip home.
Sophia is due at the end of May and one of my other close friends from college, Anna, is due just two weeks earlier. Aaron and I have talked about going to New York to visit since they moved there and since they will have babies this summer we decided to go ahead and buy tickets to visit at the end of June. We are super excited and can't wait!
Conner and I did some hanging out on Sunday. He was sick last week with a cold and now has another ear infection. It doesn't slow him down one bit.
